Good episode.. and I couldnt agree more about CTF and other similar team gametypes being not as enjoyable in Reach as they were in Halo 3.
Dont get me wrong, I am not one of the guys who rags on Reach, but team objectives and BTB seemed to be SO much more enjoyable in H3. Skills nailed it.. an average session of matchmaking in H3 just seems to generate more enjoyable games, expecially certain gametypes.
In my opinion, one big reason is the community. It seems more people used to wear headsets with H3 compared to Reach, and as anyone who has played Halo beyond a noob can attest to the huge advantage of wearign it for a team onbjective game. I also find that while its not to Call of Duty standards, there is simply olot more jerks who screw around on these gametypes and dont respect the other players. Yes, this is an opinion, nothing I can back with stats.. but I think its prevalent enough to stand up as a valid point/agreement.
PRIME EXAMPLE: In the past month or two if you play headhunter or oddball its not filled with people who dont give a rats ass about collecting skulls/getting the oddball.. but instead camp out and rack up numbers on kills.. I dont want to sound juvinile but, at least if they had a headset on I could give them a piece of my mind and not be as so uptight about this recent trend.
Sorry I missed game night.. when your wife goes one weekend to Ikea and buys a ton of furniture and your Saturday is put aside to building all that crap with Allan keys and thoose stupid little wooden pegs.. your dog tired by 9 pm and 2 Coronas puts you to sleep…
