But… IT’S NOT WEDNESDAY!!!
Well then. While the rest of the PGCR fans are enoying the new hottness you can sit on the sidelines and wait 24 hours before downloading the ep ( :
Things have changed a bit because of my promotion. We have to record on Mondays instead of Tuesdays so it gives us a headstart to record/post so that allgames.com can stream our show (if it’s pre-recorded) but we still have the option to do it live on wed’s.
I like it early…
I don’t think I’ve ever disagreed so much with what you guys had to say. I’m glad I didn’t show up on the show earlier than I did because it would have been a throw down. Entertaining as always, though.
Cheers,
The Wach
About the bolt shot? Or something else?
What didnt you agree with? Besdies, I had to remind them who the zombliw pizza lego guy is!!!
The boltshot. The used game market. Halo 4 being the least favorite Halo. Opinions on the 720. There were a couple other things. That’s why I threw out the idea of a 149.5 lol…I feel like I could spend 45 minutes rebutting a lot of what was said.
I enjoyed the show but it definitely got me worked up multiple times.
thats a good thing!
The boys at PT last week were eluding that the MP in Halo 4 is not as good as Reach.. I jus tdotn get it! I think Halo 4 is better than Reach for sure.. I wotn rate it against the other games, I only joined the Halo party at HAlo 3, which is my all time favorite, but wasnt there for Heydey of H1 and H2.. but either way… Halo 4 is NOT the worst Halo!
I also am not a big supporter of used game market.. I do understand alot of people cant afford nw games.. I would HOPE a trade of of DL only games would be cheaper prices to compensate..
I played all of them starting with CE. The fun dynamics of CE were great. I’m not sure if I’ve had quite that much fun since. 2 built on that by adding in Live. I didn’t like the maps that much, though. I didn’t like 3. It was a good game, but I didn’t feel that fun factor with the game. Reach was fun again but felt a little watered down on the action and pace of the game. 4 is excellent. The fun is back and the pace is back. The only thing wrong with it is how few game types there are for martchmaking. But I’m starting to see 343′s point on this – I was trying to play a game type with only 1,500 people on it and it was awful trying to start a match.
Here’s the thing with used games…Just because there’s (theoretically) not going to be used games any more does not automatically mean you will have to pay $60 every single time you buy a new game. Just wait 3 or so months. I’ve bought brand new games 4 months after release for <$30.
Also, I think the main reason we will see the trend move this direction is because of piracy. Piracy is running rampant in the industry and this is what is going to happen to stop it. Unless people stop pirating, this is the future. And I'm ok with that…developers should get the money they deserve for making the game. If you don't like the game, cash in your chips and get out.
Or stop pirating and tell yur mayteys to stop as well. /soapbox
Halo 4 is alright compared to the other games, but in the end, it feels like a Sci-Fi game that’s trying REALLY hard to be a Halo game.
Campaign was ok. I thought some of the character “progression” [?] seemed a bit forced. The lack of continuity in design (Chief, the FUD, the covenant), the seemingly blatant incorporations of designs from other games (Nanosuit spartans, UNSC officers with the RIG from DeadSpace, Promethean design resembles necromorph design a bit imo, etc.) bothered me a bit, as well as the story. The whole “Humanity were the forerunner’s greatest threat” thing just didn’t seem to fit in with the lore that was “established” through playing the last trilogy, H3 terminals, etc. I also felt like they used this newer expanded universe they’ve created (the forerunner books, etc.) as too much of a crutch, or staple to the campaign story, when really the only thing that should matter in the game is the story as established by the game (imo).
Really this is the first campaign where I haven’t been compelled to go back and play though any of the levels, save for when I found out there was Mk. VI armor to be unlocked
